Participation conditions for events organized by the Mountain School

 

Registration:

 

  • a contract between the Mountain School and the participant is formed by the signing of a registration form
  • each participant must be registered individually
  • a teenager's registration form must be signed by a parent or legal guardian
  • a registration form can be obtained from www.szkolagorska.com and returned by post to: Schronisko Samotnia, Szkoła Górska, ul. Na Sniezke 16, 58- 550 Karpacz, Poland. It can also be e-mailed to: biuro@szkolagorska.com
  • each sporting event or course is organized only when 6 participants are registered

 

 

Payment:

 

  • each participant is obliged to pay 30% of the total price of the event in advance
  • advance payment must be paid not later than 30 days before the beginning of the event; this advance payment is subtracted from the total payment, and the remaining amount should be paid on the first day of the event; in exceptional circumstances payment conditions may be discussed with the manager of the Mountain School, Magdalena Siemaszko-Arcimowicz
  • any delay in payment is regarded as a decision by the participant to withdraw from the event
  • payment should be made to:

  • Alternatively payment may be made in person. 
  • The Mountain School may change the price of the event in the case of any change in the exchange rate, any increase in tax rates or increase in the price of either gas or electricity, or in any other circumstances. However, the Mountain School is obliged to notify a participant about any price change. In this case, the participant should reply within 3 days, or it will be assumed that participant agrees to the changed conditions and higher price.

 

 

Resignation:

 

  • the participant is obliged to notify the Mountain School of his/her resignation
  • the date of resignation is the date of the Mountaion School receiving written notification of the participant's resignation

 

The Mountain School makes a full refund only if either of the following conditions are met:

  • the event is canceled by the Mountain School
  • the participant resigns due to a price change

 

In other cases of resignation, the Mountain School deducts the following amounts:

  • advance payment (alternatively, the participant may propose a willing substitute participant)
  • 70% of the event cost - if the resignation takes place 20 days or less before the event's beginning, but more than 7 days before the beginning
  • 100% of the event cost - if the resignation takes place 7 days or less before event beginning or if the participant does not appear at the Mountain School for the event

 

The participant cannot claim:

  • the cost of services that were not used by the participant

 

All costs involved in a refund (e.g. mail) are charged to the participant. Refunds are made at the Mountain School Office or via bank transfer. The participant does not receive any interest on the amount paid.

 

Complaints:

 

The participant may make a formal complaint about the event up to seven days after its finish. The Mountain School considers complaints about any inconvenience or problems with an instructor or a guide only if the participant notifies the School during the event in written form. The participant may not make a formal complaint about weather conditions, equipment damage, stopovers or any other circumstances unrelated to the Mountain School's activities.

 

Final conditions:

 

  • each participant is obliged to possess a valid passport and must follow the customs laws and monetary laws of all transit and target countries
  • the Mountain School is not responsible for any infringements of law made by the participant
  • the participant is obliged to follow all the instructor's commands

 

The Mountain School may cancel the event in the case of unforseen factors (e.g. political or government decisions or other circumstances) up until the first day of the event. The participant cannot claim any damages except those returns of payment outlined in the above conditions. The content of the "Participation Conditions" and "Registration Form" are regarded as an integral part of the contract between the Mountain School and the participant. Any conflicts arising from this contract are arbitrated by the Local Court in Jelenia Góra, Poland.
