In 2002, the Samotnia Refuge's manager, Magdalena Siemaszko-Arcimowicz, with her husband Marek Arcimowicz, invited a number of celebrities to raise money for the renowned charitable foundation, the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity. Meetings, lectures, slide shows and auctions were held for tourists and visitors to Samotnia and the Karkonosze Mountains, leading to the Samotnia Refuge transfering 21,405PLN to the foundation's account between 2002 and 2005.
