Getting here:
Participants arrive in Karpacz independently and gather in front of the Post Office (in Polish - Poczta Polska) at 27 Karkonoska Street in Karpacz Gorny at 4pm (on the first day of the camp). The group is guided to the Samotnia Refuge by our instructor. Our 4x4 vehicle takes your luggage directly to the refuge, so you won't have to carry your backpack!

The program covers:
* mountain safety rules
* hikes to the most scenic parts of the Karkonosze Mountains
* a hike to the Mt. Sniezka Meteorological Station and Chojnik Castle
* basic rock climbing techniques,
* topography and mountain orientation
* mountain hikes to the Czech mountain refuges and an ascent of Mt. Sniezka (1602m a.s.l.)
* a trip to the capital city of the Czech Republic - Prague
* a trip to Adršpach Rocky Town in the Czech Republic
* slide shows
* mountain survival skills training
* mountain first aid
* a meeting with the mountain rescuers at the Mountain Rescue Post
* sightseeing in Karpacz e.g. Vang Stave Church (in Polish - Kosciolek Wang) and the Museum of Sport and Tourism (in Polish - Muzeum Sportu i Turystyki)

Personal kit list:
* a cap, gloves and a warm sweater
* a torch
* at least two pairs of socks
* personal ID
* passport
* a pen and notebook
* personal items e.g. underwear, soap, shampoo, towel etc.
* 'sun cream' for sunny days
* a tracksuit
* two pairs of shoes
* your boyfriend or girlfriend
